In years to come this beautiful region will play host to one of the world’s premier rail trails. In the meantime, we’re going to start riding and enjoying this amazing tourism corridor on the NSW Northern Rivers anyway.
Starting in 2021, we’re offering self-guided and bike packing tours along the route of the future Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Discover the trail and be a part of the future of cycling in the Northern Rivers.

Follow the journey along the old Northern Rivers railway and discover why this majestic route is destined to become a future ‘rail trail’ tourism corridor. Overnight in Eltham and Brunswick Heads.

The Advanced Trail
2 days, 1 night, 100-120km/day
This 2-day adventure takes you from end to end of the trail along a modified route that includes the best of the advanced road and gravel routes in the region. Overnight in Byron Bay. Carrying bags or luggage transport not required.
Day 1 Casino -> Byron Bay | Day 2 Byron Bay -> Murwillumbah

As well as having our fleet of high performance road, gravel and e-bikes to hire for your tour, if you’d like to try bike-packing you will have the option to hire brand new Bontrager adventure frame bags to carry your luggage. Incl. handlebar, frame and saddle bags.

COVID Booking Policy
As part of our COVID-19 Cancellation Policy, if your ability to attend your scheduled Lifecycles Travel tour is impacted at all by the pandemic you will be entitled to a full refund. As much as possible, we also refer and recommend accommodation suppliers who provide a comparable level of booking flexibility.
